I'm back...

Well, all I can say is that it has been a while since I have posted here.

We have been travelling a lot, our latest trip to Tasmania was pretty mind blowing. We drove from Brisbane to Tasmania and back again. We stopped everywhere we could on the way there and on the way back. We camped in National Parks, we stayed in bed and breakfasts and motels. We did not book anything before we left which added excitement to our amazing adventures.

Here are just a few pics of what we saw in that beautiful and so very diverse countryside of ours.

Australia, you are so beautiful.

Not much time for any sort of craft, however I did take a crochet hook and some yarn...

...and found some really sweet paper flowers growing on the side of the road, exactly what I need to add to a crochet wreath.

Take care.

Hello Side Street Vintage

Have you checked out Tracey's new store in Hawthorne yet? Love the name she has chosen - side  street vintage.  It's full of original one of  hand made goodies and vintage items....
...re-vamped furniture, vintage linens craft supplies and heaps more.

Amazing framed retro prints.

There is a vintage sewing corner.

I love these very special note books!

The lovely Tracey herself!

Some of my crafty things are available at Side Street Vintage now. I dropped off some of these today.

Vintage linen Lavender pillows.

Pretty bunting with vintage white linens.

You will have to visit this new store to see the rest!
Pop in and say hi to Tracey, she would love to see you.

Enjoying the Beauty in Thrifted Treasures

I was just looking at these images and realising this is turning into a thrifty type of post. Putting everything together this morning I realise how little I have to spend to enjoy beauty around me.
Flowers will do it for me any time and with the addition of some favourite thrifted items..voila!

I picked up these heart plates the other day for $1 each. There were only three of them but I just fell in love with them and at that price why wouldn't you?
Hopeless romantic that I am!
The heart shaped vintage pomander was a thrift store find sometime ago.
These beautiful roses are from my sister in law.
The outdoor setting was from a garage sale and two of the chairs I bought from my dear friend Katherine at theoldboathouse.
The old brass jug was left here by the previous owners.

Really looking forward to catching up with some blogging friends at lunchtime today.

Have a lovely day.
